Megan Guidry, abstract artist in Shreveport, Louisiana

Megan Guidry is a self-taught abstract artist who resides in Shreveport, Louisiana with her husband, Craig, and their dog, Henri. She draws inspiration largely from her love of landscapes, creating neutral abstracts with distinctive hints of color. Megan's approach to texture, structure, shape, and pigmentation give her paintings a quality that is both subtle and unique. Her passion for painting and design began in her high-school art classroom. In college, Megan continued pursuing her creative interests for art and design, enrolling in art history and color theory classes alongside her coursework in Speech-Language Pathology. Initially, her painting practice began as a creative outlet, but she soon started receiving commissions from friends and family. Over the past decade, Megan has steadily grown her word-of-mouth business far beyond painting for her inner-circle, and she is continuing to enjoy the journey of evolving as an artist.
